The Spicy Hot Apple Cider

This is my lower sugar, digestion-supportive version of a mulled hot apple cider. I love this as a mock alongside holiday dinners.

Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups apple cider - make sure unsweetened/no added sugar 
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 organic ginger shot (DIY or I like the Vive organic brand @ the store!)
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 2-3 organic orange peels (try to omit the white)
  • 2 dropperfuls orange JÜJ + more to taste
  • garnishes: chopped apple, fresh cranberries, cinnamon sticks 
How

Add all ingredients except JÜJ to a large pot over high heat, bring to a bubble then turn town to low heat and let simmer for ~15 minutes.

Strain out citrus peels/cloves/cinnamon and serve into mugs with an additional dropperful of orange JÜJ (unless you like it sweeter) and enjoy!
